Classes usually include a presentation on the health benefits of a vegetarian diet, concern for the environment and animal welfare. The class includes practical nutritional information and materials to take home. If your group or organization are interested in hosting one or more free classes, click here. We hold free nutrition and cooking classes based on our book The Vegetarian Solution, at various locations around the Puget Sound. Learn about the latest research on the health advantages of a vegetarian diet and also about how a vegetarian diet has a big impact on the world we live in. The class includes a delicious vegetarian cooking demonstration. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the food we eat and to sample delicious food all in one fun filled afternoon. Classes may be held at the Vegetarian Bistro restaurant, 668 S King St, Seattle, or at the Goods for the Planet 525 Dexter Ave North, Seattle. Our popular "Food, Fun & Flexibility" program gives you an opportunity to experience an introductory yoga class, to learn the many benefits of a vegetarian diet, to gain practical nutritional information and to enjoy a tasty cooking class, all for free in one afternoon. We offer this program at either of two locations (check the form below for future class times and locations): Whole Life Yoga studio at 8551 Greenwood Avenue N. in Seattle, and at Normandy Park Yoga, 19655 First Avenue S., Suite 102, Normandy Park, south of Burien. Both yoga studios specialize in the Viniyoga method, where teachers cater stretching positions to individual student needs and abilities. It is a uniquely healing form of yoga that can be used by people of all levels and physical abilities, including those with limited mobility.
